My summer trip to Trinidad and Tobago was marvelous! The islands provide a wealth of experiences even outside of Carnival. Trinidad is the land of the hummingbird, and the Yerette hummingbird sanctuary is a wonderful place to learn about science and culture over lunch and tea. We also got to tour the Lopinot cocoa plantation, and a nearby bat cave. The country is rich with culture and history beyond what any textbook or travel guide could show you.

From the delicious Indian roti, bake-and-shark on the beach, and the transcendent fried chicken of Royal Castle to the smooth and soothing taste of Angostura rum, flavors abound for every taste. The party never stops on the islands, from raft-ups in the ocean to dance parties on the beach.

In Tobago, our glass-bottom boat tour gave us a beautiful up-close look at the marine life. We also took a breathtaking hike up to see a waterfall. We capped off the trip to the smaller island with Italian food to die for at La Tartaruga. Across both islands, there is so much to explore and get lost in.

The nation of Trinidad and Tobago has some of – if not the most– beautiful, kind, and interesting people and places anywhere in the world. Everywhere you look, the islands are brimming with novel and engaging experiences. The hospitality is unmatched.

A trip to Trinidad and Tobago will stay with you for life, and no one anywhere can plan that trip better than Come to the Islands!”
